How long is each service?
ASunday school is from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m.. Worship service is from 11:00 a.m. until approximately noon. Sunday evening service is from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.. Wednesday evening service is from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m..
What should I expect during the service?
AThe worship service consists of traditinal hymn singing, music from our choir, special singing, prayer, Bible reading, and a message from God’s Word. The message is the highlight of the service – it will last approximately 40 minutes. It may be an explanation/application of a Bible passage or a topical study on what the Bible says. It is always intended to explain God’s Word.
What should I bring?
AYou are welcome to bring yourself, your family and friends. Also, bring your Bible (If you have a Bible), it will help you follow along with the pastor’s sermon.
What should I wear?
AThere is not a dress code at Freedom Baptist Church. Many men wear a coat and tie and women wear dresses. We view the gathering of saints to worship God as a special occasion, and we dress accordingly. However, if you do not have a coat, tie or dress, wear what you have. We encourage everyone to dress in modest apparel to the glory of God. Our main goal is that you feel comfortable and welcome. Our focus is on your heart, not on what you wear.
What about my children?
ANursery care is provided for children, infant through age 3. They will be welcomed, into the nursery, before or during the service. Suring the Sunday morning service, we have Children’s Church up to 3rd grade. On Wednesday’s, we have many opportunities for young people to learn on their level. For more information about these programs, see the teen and children sections of the website. If you prefer, non-disruptive children may remain in the auditorium. The sermon is geared for adults, however, the content is appropriate for everyone.
Whom do I see if I have a question?
AUshers are located in the vestibule of the church. They are available to answer any questions about where to go or what to do; they are never far away if needed. For spiritual questions, the Pastor is available after the service. If you would like to meet with the Pastor just let him or one of the ushers know.
