Proverbs 14:12
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
There are many different religions today with many different views concerning the Lord Jesus Christ, eternity, hell, heaven, and other subjects of vital importance. If a man desires to know truth, he must turn to the only real source of truth which is the Bible. What does God through the Bible teach about man and salvation?
Romans 3:10
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.
God’s Word teaches us that there is none righteous.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
If all men are sinners, what is to become of man who has sinned? The answer is found below.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The death spoken of here is separation from God in the terrible place of hell and the lake of fire. Your response may now be, “I don’t want to spend eternity separated from God and in a place as terrible as hell, is there any hope for me?”
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
The only way a man can ever be delivered from sin is through the Crucified Savior, Jesus Christ. He, alone, took our sins and bore them on the cross, that we, through him, might be saved. Your response may be, “How does this Savior become my Savior?”
Luke 13:3
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
You must be willing to turn away from your sins and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Acts 16:31
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
You must believe with your whole heart
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
If right now you recognize that you are a sinner, and that Jesus Christ, God’s Son, died on the cross for your sins, and if you are willing to call on His name, God has promised He will save you.
Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
